CoreValue – Up Close and Personal

Meet Oleksiy Saveliev from our Cherkasy office

Motto in life: Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving (Albert Einstein)

Job title: Regional Administrator

Q: What is it in your job that keeps you going?

A: I started working at CoreValue back in 2010, initially on an hourly basis, then part-time. Over the years, I realized that either you love your work and constantly motivate yourself or the drive just fades away. I used to own a business and it gave me the right tools for work ethics for business and for  the people around me.

Q: Do you have any hobbies?

A: It is definitely cycling. Why? A bicycle means freedom to me. This is a chance for me to take a break from everyday problems, to stay alone with my thoughts and the road, to test myself. Well, the bonus is that it’s good for my health as well.

Q: What is your core value?

A: The core values I live by are commitment, passion and social activities that help make this world a better place.

June Strategy Session

In June, CoreValue held a Strategy Session to help our Company adapt its strategy to evolving market requirements.

Yuriy Adamchuk, our Chief Financial Officer & Deputy CEO, said of the event, “We aimed at specifying the strategy approach and to align it with the Board’s expectations. It was crucial for us to hear out the opinion of the people experienced in working closely with teams. Understanding what it takes to make CoreValue succeed is one of the greatest assets we can bring to the table. We took this opportunity to focus on ways to move forward and to define our goals for the next 2 years.“

“During that session we had a productive discussion on current challenges that both the Company and employees face, and shared ideas how to capitalize on the company strengths to move ahead “

What’s next?
The session’s findings will be shortly presented to the Board for final approval and to the audience afterwards. These unified ideas formed into a strategic vision will help us drive development and build a great company together.

Meet Olena Byelkina, a speaker and a business trainer

Motto in life: Suum cuique (To each his own)

Job title: QA Engineer, CoreValue Lviv

Q:  What is it in your job that you like the most?

A:  I like the way my job allows me to make the world better (that’s in a very-very general sense). I’m that kind of person who cannot stand aside and simply observe something going unnecessarily wrong when it can be stopped.  I prefer a preventive approach rather than fixing something after it becomes a problem.  Being a QA professional matches my way of thinking and living.

Q:  Do you have any hobbies?

A:  I sure do, but Irish dancing is the one I’ve been dedicating almost every day of my life since 2012.

It all started as an attempt to find out how to do it in a proper way. Initially, there were Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations in Lviv though they spun around Irish folk music without having anything else Irish at all.

Right now with more than 4 years of modern Irish dancing experience, a teacher’s role in the Lviv branch of one of the oldest schools in Ukraine, I also handle the only Ukrainian blog dedicated to Irish dancing history and organization of one out of three national championships in our country. Everything turned out to be much deeper, broader and less ‘riverdance’ comparing to how it met my eye in 2012.

Q:  What is your core value?

A:  Selfhood is a core value for me. Being myself as well as recognizing and respecting “selfhood” for every other person is the basis of how I live, how I treat other people, and how I expect them to treat me.
